What a great vision that could be used here in Dee Why by Mayor Michael Regan! With so many influential sustainability experts living and working in the Manly Warringah area, why are we not able to make Dee Why Australia's first sustainable city with respectful connections between accommodation, transport, health/ sporting areas, food sources, energy creation, waste utilisation, lifestyle access, and lots more. Humans seem to make the wrong choices compared to nature where evolution allows free competition to chose the best solution with least impact. more »

Great idea Elle I am going to do the same. Openly displaying our city metrics for all to see means that we can actually compare how our towns are going relative to each other. I want to show the local Council how badly we are doing on our water use compared to others and get them to start dealing seriously with our lack of water. As climate change decreases our rainfall we are in real trouble here unless we start recycling our waste water. more »

I can see how biocity could be a great resource for transition towns groups to upload the data on their town each year and then track progress through the graphing tool. I am going to have my group check it out and get registered. more »
