Sydney’s health system

5Before 1990 Infectious diseases were a major source of illness and impacted life expectancy. Now life expectancy has increased by 50% since 1990 and will put demand on Sydney’s health system. Currently we are ranked 32 on the World Health Organization ranking system and only have 2.7 public hospital beds per 1000 people.
