The founding principal of McGregor Coxall has over twenty years international experience working, teaching and writing about landscape architecture, urban design and the environment. He has worked in Canada and the UK completing projects spanning six nations. Adrian’s expertise lies in combining development feasibility, culture and ecology with a passion for design, to create sustainable places in the built and natural environments. His design and mediation skills have been successfully applied to many complex projects bringing communities, authorities and developers together. Adrian has lectured and written many articles on landscape architecture, cities and the environment. Most recently he has helped establish the Urban Design Alliance, UDAL in NSW.

Philip Coxall

Philip has more than twenty years international experience in landscape architecture, urban design and planning. Philip has worked on a broad range of projects in Australia, England, and Asia. His expertise lies in managing the design of large scale, complex projects from concept to the resolution of the finest details. Philip thrives on challenge and rode a bicycle on a solo trek across the Sahara Desert.

Christian is a German educated Architect with professional experience in a wide range of urban design and planning. His experience includes large scale urban master planning and the design of urban and landscape projects. His work has extended to feasibility studies of urban development projects including planning and spatial design studies for employment, residential and leisure buildings. His speciality is working at the interface of architecture and open space, integrating buildings with their environments. He has a keen interest in preparing visualisations of spatial concepts either as computer generated 3D models or hand renderings.

Georg Petzold

Georg Petzold is a German educated and trained landscape architect. Prior to relocating to Australia Georg worked on a number of large scale projects in both Germany and Austria at the design and documentation level. His work in Australia has ranged from projects in China to construction documentation of the external work for the competition winning National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Georg’s design capabilities extend from macro scale down to fine grain detailing. His passion is to ensure consistency in the design process so that the end product is true to the design philosophy.

Joshua Zeunert

Josh is a Landscape Architect and Architect. He is interested in ecological retrofitting of built environments and the health of cities. Josh is experienced in shifting project scale from macro regional design, masterplans and competitions, to fine detail design. He has performed large scale project management and administration on projects such as Green Square Town Centre Public Domain Design. Josh is the in-house sustainability facilitator for the office, auditing all projects at key milestones. He is also a co-founder of the biocity studio. He uses his graphic, conceptual, and documentation abilities to support McGregor Coxall design team.

Kristina Frizen

Kristina is a German educated Landscape Architect with professional experience in international landscape design, documentation and competitions. Her experience includes urban design and landscape projects, feasibility studies of urban development projects, city park design, residential landscape design and documentation. She has a keen interest in horticulture and garden heritage and draws on her experience in these fields to support the McGregor Coxall design team.

Jack Qian

Jack’s expertise is in exploring design in all its avenues. His studies range from textile to industrial and jewellery design. Having completed formal study at the University of New South Wales – College of Fine Arts in Sydney, he has a Bachelor of Design majoring in Environmental/spatial and Graphic design. Jack also practised as a freelance designer, working with a diverse range of clients from the entertainment, catering, IT, media and architectural industries. His current interest lie in exploring the relationship between sustainability and design at a broad level from detailed objects, urban spaces and ultimately city form. Jack brings a unique ability to McGregor Coxall with his multidisciplinary approach, 2D/3D computing skills and design sensibility.

Kristin is a Graduate Landscape Architect from the university of NSW and has a particular interest in spacial qualities. Her graduating design studio focused on pedestrian journeys and transitions between a variety of city spaces. Kristin joined mcgregor +partners as a student and started her Graduate Landscape Architect position in 2007. Through the use of her computer aided drafting skills she has been able to enjoy team collaboration on a variety of projects. She is also involved in PR and helps to co-ordinate project management and administration.

Larissa is a Landscape Architect with professional experience in community collaboration projects, open space master planning and design of public facilities. She has a keen interest in horticulture and ecologically sustainable design. Larissa is skilled at team based collaboration and uses her experience in computer aided drafting and 3D animation to support McGregor Coxall design team.

Luke McDermott

Luke is a Landscape Architect with professional experience in community collaboration projects, open space master planning and design of the public domain including road layout, cycle networks, residential apartments and parks. He has a keen interest in renewable energy and ecologically sustainable development, the later being the topic of his undergraduate thesis. Luke is skilled at team based collaboration and is the office IT manager.  He has experience managing large, complex urban projects on CAD across multiple files and teams.  This experience includes extensive coordination with government clients and consultants.

Deborah Brooks

Deborah Brooks

Deborah has an extensive background in office management roles for small-medium and multinational companies across a wide range of industries including banking and finance, FMCG, construction, hospitality, recruitment, IT, defence and manufacturing.  In 2000, she began consulting independently as an office manager, providing assistance and business support services to high-level finance  and government executives and innovative design firms. Blending a resourceful, proactive approach and exceptional organisational skills, Deborah is responsible for achieving best practice in the finance and administration aspects of McGregor Coxall.
